The Platinum Lounge is a variation of the famous "Five-Timers Club", where, if in the Five-Timers Club all the performers and hosts of all the history of Saturday Night Live haved hosted five or further times, in this one these performers appeared on the show more than 12 times, either as hosts, special guests, or musical performers. The principal members of the club are Alec Baldwin, who hosted in his SNL history 17 times (one time in the 02.12.1994 episode with his then wife Kim Basinger), and Steve Martin, who has hosted during his SNL history 16 times, less than Baldwin did during his tenure (also Martin himself has a co-hosted episode, the 12.06.1986 one, with fellow future 5-Timers Chevy Chase and Martin Short, and again with Short in the 12.10.2022 episode).
