Audrey Peart Dickman was born on November 29, 1927 in London, England, and passed away on July 16, 2001 in Middletown, New Jersey, USA, at the age of 73. She was part of the original staff of Saturday Night Live in 1975, initially starting as an assistant to the producer, which would be her role for two years.
Then, she was promoted to the role of associate producer in 1977, and would go on to hold that role for 10 years, until she was promoted to coordinating producer for season 13. She would then go on to be a line producer for three years (between 1988 and 1991), before being renamed as coordinating producer later in 1991, and officially held that role for two more years, until her retirement in 1993, after 18 years with the show.
Original cast member Jane Curtin even had a character named after Dickman, which Curtin did twice.[1]
