Arsenio Hall is an American stand-up comedian, actor, director, producer, writer, voice artist, and comedian. He is one of the main cast members in the Coming to America series of movies, along with Eddie Murphy.
Hall was born on February 12, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was also raised. He attended Ohio State University and later Kent State University.
He formerly hosted The Arsenio Hall Show, a successful talk show which was known for announcer Burton Richardson's long-drawn introduction of "ARSENIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HALLLLLLLLL!", its aim towards the younger audience, and Hall referring to the area of the audience closest to the band as "The Dog Pound", based on "The Dawg Pound" fan section of the Cleveland Browns' stadium. The show even had then-Governor Bill Clinton as a guest playing saxophone.
