The 846th episode and 17th episode of Saturday Night Live's 43rd season premiered on April 7, 2018, hosted by actor Chadwick Boseman, star of the hit films, 42, Get on Up, and Marshall and the Marvel Studios superhero films Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, with musical guest Cardi B, a rapper, who performed a medley of "Bodak Yellow" and "Bartier Cardi" and "Be Careful" and appears in the pre-recorded "Aidy B and Cardi B". This was the only hosting stint for Chadwick Boseman, as well as the musical guest debut for Cardi B on SNL.
The episode gained publicity for worldwide famous rapper Cardi B revealing her pregnancy during her performance of "Be Careful" for the first time, drawing in publicity and headlines.
