The eighteenth episode of Season 16 and the 304th episode of Saturday Night Live premiered on April 20, 1991 and was hosted by Steven Seagal with musical guest Michael Bolton. Lorne said this episode was "the worst episode of Saturday Night Live history" due to Seagal's inability to work with the cast and his terrible sketch ideas. The episode has since been cut out of syndication, but the sketches are available online and in the SNL App and the episode is still available for purchase.

This was the only hosting stint for Steven Seagal, who has since been banned from the show. This is also the only musical guest appearance on the show for Michael Bolton.
