The 721st episode and 19th episode of Season 37 of Saturday Night Live premiered on April 14, 2012, hosted by actor Josh Brolin, star of the hit films The Goonies, No Country for Old Men, Milk, the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Deadpool 2, W., True Grit, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Men in Black 3, Oldboy, Inherent Vice, Everest, Sicario, Hail, Caesar!, Only the Brave, Dune and the sequel Dune: Part Two, with musical guest Gotye, an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who performed "Somebody That I Used to Know" and "Eyes Wide Open" and appeared on the second SNL Digital Short. Josh Brolin made his 2nd time as host, and this was also the only musical guest appearance on SNL for Gotye.

Josh Brolin's goodnights speech is "Thanks to Gotye! And Kimbra! Steven Spielberg! The whole “Saturday Night” cast! To Lorne Michaels, for creating the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!!." (Cheers and applause)
