The 868th episode and 18th episode of Saturday Night Live's 44th season premiered on April 13, 2019, hosted by actress Emma Stone, star of the hit films Superbad, Zombieland and the sequel Zombieland: Double Tap, Gangster Squad, Crazy, Stupid, Love, The Help, Easy A, Magic in Moonlight, The Favourite, Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Aloha, La La Land, Battle of the Sexes, and the sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and the DreamWorks Animation hit film The Croods and the sequel The Croods: A New Age, with musical guest BTS, a South Korean boy band.

This is Emma Stone's 4th time hosting and BTS made their musical guest debut on SNL.
