The 906th episode and 17th episode of Saturday Night Live's 46th season premiered on April 10, 2021, and it was hosted by English actress Carey Mulligan, star of the hit films, Pride & Prejudice, An Education, Never Let Me Go, Drive, Shame, Inside Llewyn Davis, Far from the Madding Crowd, Never Let Me Go, Suffragette, Mudbound, Wildlife, Promising Your Woman, The Dig, She Said, Maestro, Spaceman, The Ballad of Wallis Island and Wildwood, with rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer Kid Cudi as the musical guest. This will be Carey Mulligan's hosting debut and Marcus Mumford's 4th appearance on SNL (in a cameo during Carey's opening monologue). This is also the 2nd appearance and first musical guest stint on SNL for Kid Cudi.
The goodnights speech for Carey Mulligan is "Thank You to Kid Cudi (Cheers and applause), and to Marcus Mumford, and to This Incredible Cast, Crew and the Incredible Writers, Thank You So Much, Have an Amazing Night, Thank You". (Cheers and applause again)
