The seventeenth episode of Season 24 and the 463rd episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by actor John Goodman, star of the ABC's classic hit sitcom Roseanne and the continuation series The Conners, with legendary rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as the musical guest. It premiered on April 10, 1999. This is John Goodman's 10th time as host on SNL, as well as the seventh musical guest appearance for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
