Annette Bening (born May 29, 1958) is an American actress best known for her roles as Myra Langtry in the 1990 neo-noir film The Grifters, Carolyn Burnham in the 1999 drama film American Beauty, Julia Lambert in the 2004 drama film Being Julia, Jean Harris in the 2005 drama film Mrs. Harris and as Dr. Nicole "Nic" Allgood in the 2010 drama film The Kids Are All Right. She hosted Saturday Night Live on December 9, 2006.
