Abigail "Abby" Elliott (born June 16, 1987) is an American actress and comedienne who became a cast member on Saturday Night Live following the departure of Amy Poehler. She is the first second-generation cast member, being the daughter of former SNL cast member Chris Elliott. She is also the first third-generation SNL performer. Her grandfather, Bob Elliott, co-starred on a Christmas episode in Season 4.
It was announced prior to Season 38 that after four years on SNL Abby would not be returning to the program, with it later being confirmed that she had been let go by producers. After her retirement from SNL, Elliott guest-starred in 2 Broke Girls and How I Met Your Mother.
